PORT HUON CHARTERS is located in the centre of Tasmania's Huon Valley on the Huon Trail Touring Route.
The Valley has five main towns: GEEVESTON, DOVER, FRANKLIN, HUONVILLE and CYGNET and 12 smaller settlements including RECHERCHE BAY
Geeveston:
Only 5 minutes south from Port Huon Charters is the main Tourism Town in our Valley. Here you will find the award winners KyariRestaurant and the Forest & Heritage Centre, where you can purchase your Tahune AirWalk tickets - which is a further 20 minute drive west from Geeveston - also purchase your National Parks Passes. Another must see attraction is the Southern Forest – Furniture & Gallery.
Dover:
Only 30 minutes away and has a small fishing fleet, a great country Pub, here you can travel on to Hastings Caves, the Settlement of Southport or visit Recherche Bay which is a further 30 minute drive south. On your way back to Port Huon Charters follow the Esperance Coast Road for some great views.
Franklin: To our north is only a 10 minute drive away with some great little restaurants including Petty Sessions and the Aqua Grill with the best Fish & Chips in Tasmania. While in Franklin also visit the Franklin Gallery and Cafe and don’t forget to visit the Wooden Boat School and Treasures Old & New.
Huonville: Only 30 minutes north is the business centre of our Valley. Again some great restaurants including Home Hill, award winning winery and restaurant, the Huon Manor on the banks of the Huon River which offers a great service then visit the Apple & Heritage Museum at Grove, then call into the Huon River Jet Boats and book your river cruise.
Cygnet: Only a 40 minute drive to our east, again a must see country town. Three great little pubs, the Top, Bottom & Middle, all with great service. Don’t forget Hartzview Vineyard at Cygnet as well as the Panorama Wine Centre at Cradoc.
