Free Spirit is a 43 foot power boat in survey for 12 people. She is available for charter in the areas of the Huon River, Bruny Island, Port Esperance, Recherche Bay, the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and the Derwent River, in fact anywhere around Tasmania.

Cruise Options:

Option 1: Franklin Cruise - Calm River Cruising

Departing from Port Huon Marina – we cruise north passing the settlements of Port Huon and Castle Forbes Bay then on past the town of Franklin and as far as Huonville.

Your Skipper will explain the History of our region, as well as the importance of the Apple, Cherry, Fishing and Timber Industries to the area. You will enjoy a complimentary glass of Huon Valley wine while relaxing over morning or afternoon tea and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Before our return to the Marina, we will cruise a little way south to take a close look at one of the Atlantic Salmon farms and sample some of the delicious smoked salmon - a world-renowned Tasmanian delicacy.

We return to Port Huon after approximately three hours of relaxing calm water cruising.

Option 2: Bruny Island Cruise

A five hour cruise including lunch to Bruny Island traveling the eastern shore of the Huon River, passing inside both Huon and Partridge Islands. We will lie at anchor in Mickey’s Bay and enjoy a Tasmanian Seafood and Beef BBQ with Huon Valley Wines. Just relax or do a spot of fishing, the choice is yours.

We will then travel back along the western shore passing our famous Atlantic salmon fish farms on our way back to Port Huon.

Cost: $168 per person (min of 4 people)
Depart at 11.00am – Return at 4.00pm

Option 3: “The Ultimate Dinner Party”

Departing Port Huon at 4.00pm, we will cruise to Port Esperance laying anchor in Dover Bay. Here you will enjoy a delicious dinner with choices between Chicken, Crayfish and Steak.

Included will be Huon Valley wine and finishing off with Great Tasmanian Cheeses and a glass or two of port. You can just sit back and relax or try a spot of fishing if you like.

Option 4: Recherche Bay

Recherche Bay Cruise: A full day cruise to Recherche Bay departing at 9.00am and returning at 4.00pm. Included are morning and afternoon teas as well as our famous Tasmanian Seafood and Beef lunch topped off with Huon Valley Wines. Travel the Huon River passing a number of small islands on our way south, also pass by Dover and Southport.

Then it’s on to Recherche Bay first discovered by the French Explorer Huon De Kermandec in 1792. Here we will stop for a two hour break enjoy lunch and do what the French did, some exploring of this great area. Then travel back along the western shore arriving back at Port Huon at approximately 4.00pm.

Cost: $250.00 per person or 1-4 people $1000.00

Option 5: “Exclusively Yours”

This very special Cruise is just for the two of you so sit back relax and let our two crew spoil you.

Departing from Port Huon at 11.00am on Day One you will lunch on Fresh Crayfish as we Cruise to Great Taylors Bay on Bruny Island, traveling down the Eastern side of the Huon River.

We will over-night in Micky’s Bay where a very special meal will be served for you, after you have explored the area in our “Rubber Ducky”, by yourselves of course.
On day two, breakfast will be at 8.00am before departing for Dover Bay passing by the three Islands – Faith, Hope and Charity. We then travel up the Eastern Shore visiting Atlantic Salmon fish.

On our way a light lunch will also be enjoyed, arriving back at Port Huon at around 1.00pm after spending some 26 hours on our Beautiful River.

Cost: $950.00 per person. includes all of the above with Tasmanian wine and beer.

Option 6: “Two Night Delight”

Two Night Delight: Two nights in our cottages plus a five hour cruise to Bruny Island including a Seafood and Beef lunch.
